The program features intensive practical classes, teamwork, and independent training. Each participant will develop skills in directing, cinematography, or editing, while also gaining familiarity with the key elements of film language.

Kamen Kalev debuted with the feature film "Eastern Plays" (2009), selected for the Directors' Fortnight at Cannes and nominated for the Camera d'Or. The film has won several international awards, including the Grand Jury Prize in Warsaw, as well as awards for Best Direction and Best Film in Tokyo.

His second film "The Island" (2011), starring Toure Lindhart and Leticia Casta, was also screened at Cannes and cemented Kalev’s reputation as an auteur unafraid to experiment.

In 2014, his short film "Dear night" is included in the omnibus project "The Bridges of Sarajevo" along with works by Jean-Luc Godard, Sergei Loznitsa, Christie Puyu, and others.

In 2020 "February" was selected in the Official Selection of the Cannes Film Festival – Kalev's sixth participation in the most prestigious film festival in the world.
