In this course, you will learn the fundamentals of screenwriting, explore different approaches to writing, and understand the key elements of a screenplay. We will examine common mistakes, debunk myths in the craft, highlight practices that work (and those that don’t), and develop skills to help you see how a story can be made stronger.
The course is divided into two parts, with independent work on your texts scheduled between sessions.

2. A video (up to 1 minute) in which you introduce yourself and tell us why you want to participate.
Selection fees:
For materials submitted by September 5: 650 BGN.
For materials submitted from September 6 to 17: 750 BGN.
The author of the text that impressed us the most will pay a fee of 375 BGN.
Simeon Ventsislavov is the screenwriter of the films “Directions”, “Aga”, “In a Circle”, “The Lessons of Blaga”, “Bezvetrije”, “The Herd”, “Made in EU” and others.
The films he has worked on have won over 100 national and international awards and have been selected for festivals such as Cannes, Berlinale, Venice, and Karlovy Vary. Four of these films were Bulgaria’s Oscar submissions, and three were shortlisted for the European Film Awards.
