In this course, you will learn the basics of screenwriting, different approaches to writing, and the key elements that make up a screenplay. We will look at common mistakes, myths in the craft, practices that work and don't work, and develop skills that will help you understand how a story can work better.
The course is in two parts, and between sessions you will work independently on your texts.

1. A short text (up to 1 page) with your story;
2. A video (up to 1 minute) in which you introduce yourself and tell us why you want to participate.
Selection fees:
For materials submitted by September 5: 650 BGN.
For materials submitted from September 6 to 17: 750 BGN.
The author of the text that impressed us the most will pay a fee of 375 BGN.
Simeon Ventsislavov is the screenwriter of the films “Directions”, “Aga”, “In a Circle”, “The Lessons of Blaga”, “Bezvetrije”, “The Herd”, “Made in EU” and others.
The films he has worked on have won over 100 national and international awards and have been selected at festivals such as Cannes, Berlinale, Venice, Karlovy Vary, etc. Four of them were the Bulgarian Oscar nominations and three were shortlisted for the European Film Awards.
